jobs have always been a better choice for Indian Students because it secures
their future and provides some benefit which is given below:

Job security: Government jobs offer unparallel job security. Govt employees are
rarely fired on basis of their performance. While layoffs based on performance
is a common occurrence in the private.

Handsome salary: Most of the govt jobs are well paying .A govt
employee’s gross salary consist of TA, DA, Rent and other allowances. When
combined, the gross salary that they obtain turns out to be a decent amount.
This fact is especially true when it comes to skill based jobs. For example, a
Government organization’s driver earns better salary that an private sector
driver.

Perks and bonuses: Government employees, depending upon the nature
of their work. Get to enjoy decent perks and bonuses.

Retirement life benefits: Government employees get good
post-retirement benefits. PF, Gratuity and salary arrears make their
post-retirement life a tension free affair.

Medical
benefits: Availing decent medical care has become
much costly at present. Government employees get to enjoy decent medical cover
for themselves and their family.

Fixed
working hours: Many Government fobs have fixed working
hours. This fact is not true in cases of some Government jobs such as-Police
Force, Armed Forces, Drivers, and Railways etc.

Availability
of decent amount of off-days: Most of the Government employees get to enjoy
a decent number of holidays per year. This fact is not true in cases of some
Government jobs such as-Police Force, Armed Forces, Drivers, and Railways etc.

Work-life balance: Thanks to the above two points,
Government employees are able to maintain a good work-life balance. Well, it is
not true in all cases through.
Ø Some disadvantages are:
There are some disadvantages in
government jobs such as:-

Growth is time-bound: No matter how you perform,
promotions are time-bound. However, in private sector, if you perform well,
growth is very fast.
· Political interference:
It is present in more or less in every job Group A/B Jobs (leave few).
· Corruption: Most officers are
perceived as corrupt and inefficient.
· No
reward mechanism: there are no
incentives to work. You won’t get bonus or any monetary benefits if you perform
exceptionally well in your job.
· Opportunities
of learn: they are
limited. Exposure is also limited.
